New Haven, Conn. – Freshman Kimberly Keller (Bridgeport, Conn.) of the women's volleyball team has been named as the Albertus Magnus College Female Student-Athlete of Week. Initiated in September, 2017, the 'Athlete of the Week' program recognizes one female and one male student-athlete each week for demonstrated excellence on the playing field.
Keller recorded an impressive showing for the Falcons in a 2-2 week. She averaged a team-high 3.67 kills per set and posted an incredible .366 hitting percentage. The rookie recorded 10 or more kills in all four matches, including a career-high 23 kill’s against Saint Joseph’s of Maine. Also against the Monks, Keller posted a career-high six blocks to go along with a .422 hitting percentage and a dig.
The women’s volleyball team returns to action this Wednesday, Oct. 18 as the Falcons host in-state foe Saint Joseph’s (Conn.) at 7 pm
