New Haven, CT- The Albertus Magnus College Men's Soccer Team defeated visiting Coast Guard 2-1 on Wednesday afternoon.  The Falcons held a 1-0 edge at halftime off the foot of sophomore forward Jamal Howard (West Haven, CT) from freshman Alphonse Buccitti (West Haven, CT) in the 32^nd minute of play.   The Falcons jumped to a 2-0 lead, again off the leg of Jamal Howard (West Haven, CT) in the 60^th minute.  Coast Guard received a goal from Spencer Ross (Burbank, CA) in the 64^th minute to cut the lead to 2-1.  Coast Guard challenged the Falcons late in goal but senior goalkeeper Gerald O'Connor (Hamden, CT) was spectacular recording seven saves for the game.   Albertus Magnus College improves to 8-5-1, 3-3 GNAC while Coast Guard drops to 4-8-0, 0-3-0 NEWMAC.  Albertus Magnus College plays host to GNAC opponent Emerson College on Saturday with a 1:00pm kick-off.
