Albertus Magnus junior John Snow (Cheshire, Conn.) and freshman Ben Spilka (Redding, Conn.) both earned Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Weekly honors as announced Monday by the league office. Snow was tagged as the GNAC Runner of the Week, while Spilka was named the league's Rookie of the Week.
Snow was the top finisher for the Falcons as Albertus took 19th place at the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) Invitational on Saturday afternoon. Snow took 74th place overall with a time of 35:17.3 on the five mile course.
Spilka was the Falcons' top rookie finisher with a final time of 40:47.3 to place 109th overall.
The Falcons will compete in the GNAC Championship on Saturday, Oct. 27 in Nashua, N.H. The meet will be hosted by Rivier College and is set to begin at 12:45 p.m.
