    (New Haven, CT) – The Albertus Magnus College Athletic Department and STX have announced a three-year sponsorship agreement that will outfit the Albertus men’s and women’s lacrosse programs exclusively with inventory from the world’s leading manufacturer of lacrosse equipment. The agreement was signed today, and announced by Director of Athletics Michael Spinner.

    Catholicsportsnet.com recently featured the Turf Field and Men's and Women's Lacrosse additions by Albertus Magnus College. Albertus Magnus College recently announced a major renovation to the College’s outdoor athletic field, the addition of a turf playing surface at the New Haven, Connecticut campus. The upgrades will occur during the summer of 2011. The renovated field will remain home to Albertus’ highly successful men’s and women’s soccer programs, and the College will also sponsor men’s and women’s lacrosse as their 13th and 14th varsity sports, beginning in the spring of 2013.

    Albertus Magnus College announces the appointment of Michael Spinner as director of athletics effective September 1. President Julia M. McNamara said “We are delighted to welcome Mike Spinner to the Albertus community. He has demonstrated a strong personal commitment to the mission and purposes of NCAA Division III sports programs and to the importance of establishing positive relationships between the goals of rigorous academic programs and equally as rigorous athletic pursuits on the several college campuses where he has served over time in positions of increasing responsibility.”
