Lady Falcons Drop 1-0 Decision to Coast Guard

New Haven, CT - On Saturday afternoon the Lady Falcons dropped a 1-0 decision to visiting Coast Guard Academy. After a scoreless first half, Coast Guard Academy found the back of the net in the 68th minute off the head of junior forward Brittany Fifer (Camp Lejeune, NC) on a cross from freshman forward Rachel Deschen (Palm Harbor, FL). Albertus outshot Coast Guard 9-6 on the afternoon but couldnt find the back of the net.

Saturday Soccer Games To Begin One Hour Later
New Haven, CT - The Albertus Magnus College Men's Soccer game scheduled for 1:00 pm Saturday has been pushed back an hour and will now be starting at 2:00 pm. The Women's Soccer game originally scheduled for 3:15 pm will now be starting at 4:15 pm.

Worcester, MA - The Albertus Magnus College Women's Soccer team dropped it's season opener 2-0 to host Clark University. Clark University (1-0, 0-0 NEWMAC) junior Erin Peete (Clinton, MA) put Clark on the board with an unassisted tally a little more than midway through the first half.

Lady Falcons Predicted to Finish Eighth
The Albertus Magnus College Womens Soccer Team has been predicted to finish eighth this season according to the GNAC Preseason Poll. The poll is voted on by conference coaches and compiled just before the start of the season. The Womens Soccer team made it to the GNAC tournament for the second time in the past three years ending a strong season for the Lady Falcons.

2010 Women's Soccer Captains Announced
New Haven, CT - Albertus Magnus College Women's Soccer Head Coach Nick Wajnowski has announced his team captains for the 2010 season. Senior goalkeeper Christina Oddo (East Haven, CT) and senior midfielder Jenna Riccio (North Branford, CT) have been chosen to lead the largest roster in the history of the Women's Soccer program this season.

The Albertus Magnus College Athletic Department is proud to announce the release of the 2010 Women's Soccer Schedule. The womens soccer team made it to the GNAC tournament for the second time in the past three years ending a strong season for the Lady Falcons. The Lady Falcons finished 9-6-3 on the season while setting several team records in the programs 6th season of existence.

Lady Falcons Fall in First Round of GNAC Playoffs 4-0
Boston, MA - The Albertus Magnus College women's soccer team saw their season come to an end losing 4-0 to host Emmanuel College in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Tournament action. The first round of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Tournament was played at Clemente Field on Sunday afternoon.

Lady Falcons Earn 1-1 Tie
Somerville, MA - On Saturday afternoon junior forward Sam Gigliotti (Wilton, CT) connected for the game-tying goal off of a corner kick from senior mid-fielder Leanna Weisslender (New Haven, CT) late in the second-half to earn the Lady Falcons a 1-1 tie against GNAC opponent Suffolk University. Suffolk sophomore Leslie Hayden (Ross, CA) scored the game's first goal in the 34th minute as she kicked in a loose ball off a rebound in front of the Falcon's net to give the Rams an early lead.

Lady Falcons Cruise Behind Gigliotti Hat Trick in 7-1 Win
New Haven, CT - The Albertus Magnus College women's soccer team cruised to a 7-1 victory over Old Westbury College on Thursday afternoon. Junior forward Samantha Gigliotti (Wilton, CT) scored three goals including two in the first half as the Lady Falcons overpowered visiting Old Westbury College.

Lady Falcons Fall 1-0 to Emmanuel College
New Haven, CT - On Tuesday afternoon, the Albertus Magnus College women's soccer team dropped a tough GNAC loss to visiting Emmanuel College 1-0. Emmanuel College received all the offense it needed on a finish off the leg of senior midfielder Meghan Long (Smithfield, RI) on a free kick in the 23rd minute.
