NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Director of Athletics Michael Kobylanski is pleased to announce the hiring of Hailey Rock as the next Assistant Athletic Trainer at Albertus Magnus College. Rock comes to Albertus with a wealth of athletic training experience, and has worked extensively with collegiate, professional, and international athletes.
"We are extremely pleased to welcome Hailey to the Falcon Family," Kobylanski said. "She brings a diverse range of experience in the athletic training field to Albertus Magnus College. We look forward to Hailey working alongside our outstanding Associate Head Athletic Trainers, Kristina Fortier and Allison Pinto, as we strive to provide the best care for our student-athletes."
Since the fall of 2022, Rock has worked extensively with both the Connecticut Whale women's ice hockey team and Fairfield Warde High School. While with the Whale, Rock was responsible for injury evaluations, treatment plans, and coordinated workman's compensation for players. Rock's experiences at Fairfield Warde High School included head athletic trainer duties and the coordination of coverage for all varsity sports.
Prior to her roles with the Connecticut Whale women's ice hockey program and Fairfield Warde High School, Rock served as an athletic trainer with the Kunlun Red Star Vanke Rays in Shenzhen, China and with the Chinese National Olympic women's ice hockey team during the 2021-22 season. Rock also spent two years in the Marshfield Clinic Health System working in a variety of locations. In 2018, she began a stint with Eau Claire North High School and also working at Stratford, Spencer and Columbus High School in Wisconsin.
"We are thrilled to have Hailey come on board. She brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to our staff and will be a fantastic addition to our athletics department" said Associate Head Athletic Trainer Kristina Fortier.
Rock joins an athletic department that currently boasts 17 varsity sports and will be debuting the women's ice hockey program later this fall. Rock will be the main contact for the women's soccer program, with other sports responsibilities to be added in the coming weeks.
"I'm really excited to be here. I'm looking forward to working with a variety of sports at a small school and am excited to be a part of such a welcoming college community" said Rock.
Rock graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 2018 and received her B.S. in Athletic Training. Rock is a board certified and licensed athletic trainer in both Wisconsin and Connecticut, and is CPR/AED certified.
