NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Amelia Boulli (Torrington, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus softball team and Sam Anderson (Calgary, Alberta) of the men's tennis team were named the Takin' Flight Falcons of the Week for their performances this past week.
Boulli went 5-for-17 at the plate with a double, two RBI and two runs scored this week. She went 2-for-3 with an RBI single in the fifth inning to help the Falcons defeat Dean in game two of the doubleheader on Friday.
Anderson secured two singles and two doubles wins against John Jay on Tuesday. In match one, at No. 3 Singles he won 6-0 against Mariam Caraza and then with teammate, Bailey Kirwin (Barrie, Ontario), defeated Flor Caro and Mariam Caraza 6-1 in No. 3 Doubles. In match two, at No. 6 Singles he won 6-0 against Mariam Caraza and in No. 3 Doubles, he and Cody Walker (Boise, Idaho) defeated Flor Caro and Mariam Caraza 6-0.
