NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Delaney Schlechtweg (Goshen, N.Y.) of the Albertus Magnus College women's lacrosse team and Adriel Espada (Bridgeport, Conn.) of the baseball team were both named Falcon of the Week for their performances this past week.
Schlechtweg scored three goals as the Falcons earned their first win of the season, a 7-3 defeat of Anna Maria on Tuesday. Her hat trick was the first of her career.
Espada was 4-for-5 with a double, three runs, two stolen bases and an RBI in the Falcons opening game against Juniata on Saturday at the RussMatt Florida Invitational. He went 2-for-5 with two runs scored and helped the Falcons pick up their first win of the season, defeating Gordon College, 12-11 on Sunday. Through three games, he's batting .538 with six runs scored and four stolen bases.
