Waltham, MA - The Falcons swept both games in a double header at GNAC opponent Lasell College on Saturday afternoon.  The Falcons won game one 4-3 and won game two 5-1.  The Falcons improve to 6-12, 4-2 GNAC as they head into a week that features nine games in just seven days.  Albertus again received strong starting pitching performances. 

Game One featured a complete game victory for junior southpaw Charles Chancio (Oxford, CT) who struck out five batters while allowing just two walks.  Lasell battled it's way to make the game 3-2 going into the top half of the seventh inning.  The Falcons saw senior Erik Suraci (West Haven, CT) drive in junior Kyle Calechman (North Haven, CT) to provide the eventual winning run.  After two quick outs, Lasell was able to score a run on a sacrific fly but could not get any closer as Chancio induced a game ending ground out to win the game 4-3.

Game Two featured a dominant starting pitching performance as senior right William Senna (Wallingford, CT) scatterred 6 hits allowing one run while striking out nine and walking none for the complete game victory.  The Falcons wasted no time as senior Erik Suraci hit a solo homerun in the first inning to put Albertus ahead 1-0.  Senna struggled to find his tempo in the first inning allowing a run but settled in the rest of the way as the Falcons cruised to a 5-1 victory.  Albertus hosts SUNY Purchase at 4:00 PM on Monday at Quigley Stadium.
