NASHUA, N.H. - The Albertus Magnus College baseball team lost a 12-2 game in seven innings to Rivier University in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) game on Monday.

The loss snaps a three-game winning streak for the Falcons.

Eddy Garabito (Norwalk, Conn.) was 2-for-4 with a run. Elijah Spataj (Cheshire, Conn.) had a double and an RBI while Colin Telford (Branford, Conn.) was 1-for-2 with a run.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Albertus scored one run in the top of the first inning to take an early 1-0 lead. Spataj hit a double down the left field line that scored Garabito, who singled with two outs in the inning.
• Rivier answered with nine runs over the first three innings. JD Normand had an RBI double in the first followed by a two-run single by Luis Tejada to take a 3-1 lead after the first.
• Tejada and Normand each had an RBI as part of a four-run second to make it a 7-1 game. The Raiders added two more in the third inning on RBI singles by Normand and Owen Medlock.
• The Falcons threatened with the bases loaded with one out in the top of the second, but were unable to plate a run.
• Albertus added one more run in the top of the seventh as an error off the bat of Garabito scored Telford, who walked with one out.
• Tyler Baldwin (Cromwell, Conn.) pitched 3.2 innings of scoreless relief, allowing just four hits.
• Rivier scored three more runs in the bottom of the seventh as Nathan Innerfield and Tejada each drove in runs with singles.
