WORCESTER, Mass. - The Albertus Magnus College baseball team split a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) doubleheader against Anna Maria on Friday. After dropping game one, 9-4, the Falcons rebounded with an 8-4 win in game two.
Eddy Garabito (Norwalk, Conn.) was 3-for-10 over the two games with a towering home run in game one while hitting two doubles in game two. Eric Galarza (Bridgeport, Conn.) also went yard, hitting a two-run homer in game two. Shawn Smith (Shelton, Conn.) went 6-for-9 over the two games.
Adriel Espada (Bridgeport, Conn.) went 3-for-7 over two games with a triple, four RBI and a run.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The AMCATS scored a run in the first and the third innings on RBI singles by Jonathan Guardascione and Evan Dumeny, respectively, to take a 2-0 lead.
- Garabito put the Falcons on the board in a big way with a solo home run to dead centerfield to cut the deficit in half in the top of the fourth. The AMCATS answered with two in the bottom of the inning, including a solo home run of their own by Matthew Cinque.
- Albertus tied the game in the top of the fifth at 4-4 with a three-run fifth inning as Espada hit a two-run triple to score Nick Ramos, (Mineola, N.Y.) who singled, and Colin Telford (Branford, Conn.), who reached on an error. Espada would later score on a passed ball.
- Anna Maria would take the lead back on n RBI double by Cinque in the bottom of the fifth. The AMCATS tacked on four more runs in the bottom of the sixth, highlighted by a two-run singble by Tommy Sasso.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After loading the bases with one out in the top of the second inning, the Falcons scored two runs as Telford drove in Smith on a fielder's choice followed by an RBI single by Espada
- Anna Maria answered with a run in the bottom of the second on a homer by Chiulli, but the Falcons regained the two-run lead on an RBI single by Smith.
- Chiulli hit another solo homer to lead off the bottom of the fourth to make it a 3-2 game.
- Albertus put together a three-run inning in the top of the fifth as it had three extra-base hits to start the inning. Garabito and Elijah Spataj (Cheshire, Conn.) hit back-to-back doubles to put score a run and Galarza followed with his second homer of the season - a two-run shot - to put the Falcons ahead, 6-2.
- Albertus added two more insurance runs in the top of the seventh on RBI singles by Telford and Espada.
