Pat Barrett begins his first season as Assistant Baseball Coach in 2017.
Barrett pitched collegiately at Briarcliffe College (one season) and Viginia Wesleyan University (three seasons). The left-handed pitcher made 19 appearances on the mound and pitched a total of 25 innings.
While working on his undergraduate degree, Barrett coached at the New York Baseball Academy alongside former NYIT baseball coach Bob Hirschfield and head baseball coach of Hofstra John Russo. He also served as an instructor at Old Dominion Hitters Academy, where he provided pitching lessons and ran season clinics for children ages 9-15.
He also played Collegiate Summer Baseball in the North Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League (NACBL) Long Island Collegiate Baseball League (LICBL) & Virginia Beach Collegiate Baseball League (VBCBL). In 2015 & 2017, Barrett was voted to the All-Star game in the NACBL and VBCBL.
Barrett graduated from Virginia Wesleyan University in the Fall of 2017 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences with a concentration in Recreation & Leisure Studies.
