STANDISH, Me. — Amber DeJonge (Grand Rapids, Mich.) tied her career-high shots on goal with three in the Albertus Magnus College field hockey team's 8-0 loss at Great Northeast Athletic Conference opponent Saint Joseph's of Maine on Saturday.
Ella Welton (Cliffwood, N.J.) denied seven shots in the net for the freshman's fifth time in six games recording five or more saves.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Off a penalty corner by the hosts, the Monks netted their first goal of the night less than two minutes into the opening period.
- A little over a minute later, SJC padded the lead with its second goal off the stick of Abbie Jacques.
- After being down 3-0 in the first, Melina Tarzia (Stamford, Conn.) drew a corner and allowed DeJonge to attempt a close shot that a Monk deflected.
- Saint Joseph's added two more goals in the first quarter, followed by four more tallies across the remaining three periods.
