WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College field hockey team lost a 5-1 game to the University of Hartford in a non-conference game on Tuesday afternoon.
Melina Tarzia scored the lone goal of the game for Albertus on an assist from Mariya Helmbold.
Ella Welton stopped nine shots on the day for the Falcons.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Welton stopped four shots for the Falcons in the first quarter as the teams remained scoreless after the first 15 minutes.
- The Hawks finally got on the board with back to back goals by Kyra Benard just 61 seconds apart, the first on an assist from Ashley Taylor.
- Taylor and Ava Lipson each added a goal in the second quarter as the Hawks took a 4-0 lead into halftime.
- The Falcons got on the board with their first goal of the season less than three minutes into the third period. After a penalty corner, Helmbold gathered the ball in a scrum in front of the net, passing it through the legs of the defender to Tarzia whose shot rolled into the net to make it a 4-1 game.
- UHart added one more goal in the fourth.
