GROTON, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College men's golf team finished in second place at the Mitchell Invitational III with a 28-over par 312 on Wednesday at par 71 Shennecossett Golf Course.
Eastern Connecticut State University (ECSU) won the match, finishing with a 21-over par 305. Mitchell College finished in third with a 96-over par 380.
Pierson Hester (Nashville, TN) was the top finisher for Albertus with a four-over par 75, one shot behind co-medalists Ryan O'Donnell, Ethan McDaniel and Nick Dinino of ECSU.
Mason Sassu (Rocky Hill, Conn.) finished in fifth with a seven-over par 78 and Nick Piselli (Milford, Conn.) shot an eight-over par 79 in sixth.
Kyle Sikorski (Norwich, Conn.) was a shot behind Piselli with a nine-over par 80. Andrew Buckholz (New Haven, Conn.) shot an 84.
Up next, the Falcons play in the Battle at Bull's Bridge, hosted by the University of Hartford at Bull's Bridge Golf Course in South Kent, Conn. on October 7th.
