SOUTH KENT, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus Men's Golf team finished third in the Battle at Bull's Ridge, hosted by the University of Hartford on Tuesday afternoon at Bulls Bridge Golf Club.
The Falcons shot a 40-over par 328, finishing behind the University of Hartford, who won the event with a 17-over par 305 and Wentworth, who finished in second place with a 30-over par 318.
Pierson Hester (Nashville, TN) finished seventh overall with a seven-over par 79. He had a birdie on the par five 10th hole.
Albertus had four other birdies on the day, two coming from Nick Piselli (Milford, Conn.) on the second and fifth holes, both on a par four. Piselli finished with a 10-over par 82.
Mason Sassu (Rocky Hill, Conn.) had a birdie on the par five first hole and tied with Piselli with an 82. And captain Kyle Sikorski (Norwich, Conn.) finished his round with a birdie on the par five 18th hole, while shooting a 13-over par 85.
Andrew Buckholz finished with a 15-over par 87 with 10 pars on the day.
Hartford's Zack MacMillan and Manolo Vargas were co-medalists with a two-over par 74.
