NEW HAVEN, Conn. - For the third time this season, Pierson Hester (Nashville, TN.) was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference men's golf Rookie of the Week.

Hester shot a six-over par 76 and won medalist honors in a tri-match against NEC and Norwich, collecting his third medalist honors of the season. He won the event by two strokes over Harrison Giambattista of Norwich and Graham Hassan of NEC.

The freshman had one birdie on the day on the par four 15th hole. He shot a 38 on both the front and back nines.

Hester looks to finish the season strong this week in the GNAC Championship at New Haven Country Club on Tuesday and Wednesday.
