NEW HAVEN, Conn. – With two-time defending national champion Hobart College set to visit the Ralph Walker Rink this weekend, Albertus Magnus College is planning a "Blue Out" for Friday's game against the Statesmen. The opening puck drop is set for 5 p.m. Hobart is also currently the No. 1 team in the NCAA Division III polls.
Admission for Friday's game will be free for all fans.
The festivities will begin at 4 p.m. as Albertus Magnus College students, faculty and staff can meet in front of the Cosgrove Marcus Messer Athletic Center for free bus transportation to Ralph Walker Rink. Bus transportation to the Ralph will run from 4:15-5 p.m., with the last bus leaving at approximately 4:45 p.m. Fans will be transported back to campus at the conclusion of the game.
Upon arrival at the Ralph Walker Rink, there will be giveaways for Albertus students with a valid ID that include a winter hat, handwarmers and a food voucher. All fans will also receive a towel courtesy of the Alumni Office.
Each period will feature additional interactive measures with food and apparel giveaways for Albertus students. Two Albertus students will be selected to participate in intermission contests for the chance to win more prizes, as well as one interactive contest for prospective Albertus students in attendance.
