NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College men's ice hockey team lost a 5-2 game to No. 7 SUNY Geneseo on Saturday evening at Ralph Walker Ice Rink.
Charles Lavoie (Chicoutimi, Québec) netted the first goal of the game, his second of the season, while Connor Bertamini (Calgary, Alberta) added the second goal of the game for the Falcons, his second of the season.
Chace Hale (Pittsburgh, Pa.) had 26 saves in net for the Falcons.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The game was scoreless for the first 12 minutes, but with the Falcons down a man, Maksim Tsgelenik (Moscow, Russia) stole the puck in the defensive end, took a shot that was stopped, but Lavoie put home the rebound to make it a 1-0 game.
- At the 2:33 mark in the second period, Carter Diceman of Geneseo netted the equalizer as he tucked the puck around the back of the net and slotted it inside the near post, making it 1-1.
- Albertus answered after two deflected shots from Caden Pattison (Lake Stevens, Wash.) and William Lavigne (Sainte-Anne-des-Lacs, Québec) landed on the stick of Bertamini, who took a shot and scored to give the Falcons a 2-1 lead.
- Geneseo then answered with a goal from Luke Panchisin, as he took a shot and scored to make the game 2-2 at the 13:50 mark in the second period.
- Just a minute later, the Knights saw a shot from Alex Dameski find the back of the net, making it a 3-2 game.
- In the third period, the Knights added two more early goals. A wrap around goal from Diceman at 3:54 and a quick finish in front of the net by Greg Diamond at 4:23 sealed the 5-2 final score of the evening.
