NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Brett Boucher (Fort McMurray, Alberta) of the Albertus Magnus College men's ice hockey team was named the United Collegiate Hockey Conference Co-Rookie of the Week for his performance in the team's weekend conference sweep of Elmira.
Boucher scored his first two goals of his career over the weekend, one during each game of the sweep.
In the 5-3 win over the Golden Eagles on Friday, Boucher scored his first-career goal in the final second of the game.
Boucher followed up with his second goal on Saturday at the 18:45 mark of the second period to help secure a 5-1 win over Elmira.
This is the second straight week a men's ice hockey player earned UCHC Co-Rookie of the Week as Sam Lozinski (Calgary, Alberta) earned the honor for the previous week.
