HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The Falcons had plenty of opportunities in the first period to scored and finally broke through as Demoura fed a pass to Bandu, who snapped a shot from the blue line to make it a 1-0 game at the 10:08 mark of the first period.
  • DeMoura scored his second goal of the season at the 2:38 mark of the second period as Lavoie threaded him a pass between two defenders in front of the net. DeMoura then took a point blank shot past Hiram goaltender, Ian Amaranto to make it a 2-0 game.
  • Lavigne notched his first goal of the season less than five minutes later as he received the faceoff from Tsegelnik and took a slap shot into the back of the net, making it a 3-0 game.
  • Hiram added a goal from Markus Olsen, but the Falcons held a 3-1 lead heading into the third.
  • At the 4:45 mark in the third period, Brett Boucher (Fort McMurray, Alberta) fed Pattison the puck through traffic in front of the net. Pattison then put the puck past Amaranto to make it a 4-1 game.
  • Just 41 seconds later Lavoie put home a one-timer after a pass from Peter Keese (Minnetonka, Minn.) on the power-play to make it a 5-1 game.
  • At the 10:02 mark of the third period on a 4-on-4, Tsgelenik stole the puck in the offensive zone and found an open Sullivan who scored his ninth goal of the season.
  • Lozinski scored his eighth goal of the season for the final tally for the Falcons after Zane Kindrachuk (Calgary, Alberta) fed him a pass from behind the net.
