Mike Choiniere (Bethany, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus men's lacrosse team has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday.  This is the Falcons' first-ever league honor in program history.

The Falcons went 1-2 on the week but picked up their first program victory with a dominating 26-13 win over Lyndon State on Thursday, March 20.

Choiniere put together an impressive week, recording 21 points on 12 goals and nine assists.  He tallied a tremendous 10 goals and four assists in the win over Lyndon State.

The sophomore added a goal in the Falcons' loss to Emmanuel and a goal as well as five assists in the Falcons' 17-11 loss to Norwich University.
