NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Marcus Burrows (West Haven, Conn.) was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week and DaKari Coleman (Norwalk, Conn.) was named to the GNAC Weekly Honor Roll after their performances over the last week.
In a 2-0 week for the Falcons, Burrows registered 17 points on 12 goals and five assists while picking up 12 ground balls.
During a 16-4 win over Mitchell on April 8th, Burrows tied a career-high with seven goals while dishing out an assist and picking up six ground balls.
In a 27-4 win over Colby-Sawyer on April 11th, he had nine points on five goals and four assists as well as picking up six ground balls.
This season Burrows is sixth in the GNAC in goals (36) and seventh in points (48).
This week, Coleman registered 10 points on four goals and six assists while picking up 20 ground balls. He also won 31 of his 33 faceoffs, including his 500th career faceoff in the win over Colby-Sawyer.
He had two assists, three ground balls and won 14 of 16 faceoffs in the win over Mitchell and had four goals and four assists with 17 ground balls while winning all 17 of his faceoff attempts against Colby-Sawyer.
