Men's Lacrosse Downed By Dean

FRANKLIN, Mass. - The Albertus Magnus College men's lacrosse team lost a 23-3 game to Dean College on Wednesday afternoon.

Marcus Burrows (West Haven, Conn.) scored twice and Nicholas Longo (Ridge, N.Y.) had a goal.

Alexis Gonzalez (Edison, N.J.) stopped 12 shots on the day.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Dean's Kevin Gardner scored at 11:55 to break the scoreless tie and the Bulldogs went on to score 11 goals in the first quarter. Manny Alvarez-Segee scored three times in the quarter and Gardner had two goals in the first 15 minutes.
  • Longo put the Falcons on the board at the 10:01 mark with his 23rd goal of the season, which made it a 12-1 game. Burrows scored his first goal at the 6:25 mark. Alvarez-Segee scored twice in the quarter for Dean as the Bulldogs took a 14-2 lead into the third quarter.
  • Dean extended its lead to 22-3 at the end of the third after an eight goal quarter. Burrows added his second goal of the game. Both Marc Sauchuk and Connor McCarthy scored twice for Dean. The Bulldogs added one more goal in the fourth.
