Last Year Versus the Saints: Emmanuel scored a 3-2 overtime victory at home against Albertus Magnus last September. With just over one minute remaining in the first overtime, a Falcon defender inadvertently deflected the ball into the net for an own goal to send the Saints off with a 3-2 win. Alex Zapata and Ritchy Jean Pierre scored the markers for Albertus Magnus.
NOTES:
- Zapata landed on the GNAC Honor Roll this week. He netted three goals as the Falcons went 1-0-1 last week. In a 2-1 non-conference victory against in-state rival Mitchell, he scored both of the team's goals. Trailing, 1-0, to the Mariners, both of Zapata's strikes came in the second half for the Falcons. Over the weekend, he potted the squad's lone goal in a 1-1 tie with Mount Ida. The tally versus the Mustangs was the fourth in the last three games for Zapata who has been on a tear since returning from an early-season injury.
- Russo went 1-0-1 for the Falcons last week thanks to racking up a 0.90 goals-against average, an .818 save percentage and nine saves in 200 minutes of action. In a 2-1 come-from-behind victory against Mitchell, he stopped five of the six shots he faced for his fifth win of the fall. Over the weekend, he made four saves in 110 minutes of action in a 1-1 tie with Mount Ida in GNAC play. He currently has a 1.21 goals-against average with a .767 save percentage, 33 saves and a pair of shutouts.
- Justyn Broderick leads the team in points with 10 and assists with four. He has also scored three goals this fall. Freshman Brayan Lucero has twice been named the GNAC Rookie of the Week this year and has accounted for eight points.
