NEW LONDON, Conn. - Four different players scored a goal as the Albertus Magnus College men's soccer team shut out Mitchell College, 4-0 in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) road game on Tuesday afternoon.
Nickolas Korponay (Hamden, Conn.), Andres Mendez-Suarez (East Haven, Conn.), Lorenzo Lauria (New Haven, Conn.) and Aiden Coelho (Naugatuck, Conn.) each scored for Albertus on the day.
David Lucero (East Haven, Conn.) had three saves on the day, earning his fifth shuout of the season and his 21st all-time.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the 15th minute, Lauria found Korponay with a throughball into the box between two defenders. Korponay then fired the ball past Mitchell goalkeeper, Jesse Jenkins for his first career goal to make it a 1-0 game.
- Mendez-Suarez scored his second goal of the season in the 37th minute, as after Mitchell attempted to clear a free kick out of the box, Mendez-Suarez took the ball back and took a shot into the back of the net making it a 2-0 game.
- Lauria added his ninth goal of the season in the 66th minute. On the goal, Jenkins came out of the net to try and stop a long ball from going into the box, but he collided with a teammate and Lauria had a wide-open shot at the net, which he converted to make it a 3-0 game.
- In the 80th minute, Coelho put the cherry on top of the shutout stealing a pass from the Mariners and beating the backline as he dribbled into the box, scoring his sixth goal of the season.
