NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Albertus Magnus College softball head coach Lou Bunosso announced that Katrina Roy will be the newest member of the staff as an assistant coach. 

Roy is a 2024 graduate of Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU), where she was a member of the school's softball team for four seasons where she primarily played in the infield. She had a .304 batting average with 62 hits, 27 runs and 29 RBI in her career.

In 2023, she was named to the All-Northeast-10 Conference (NE10) Third Team, the NE10 Academic All-Conference Team and the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.

Roy graduated Magna Cum Laude from SCSU with a B.S. in business administration and a minor in marketing.

Roy has been the Assistant Coach of the Connecticut Eliminators 12u/13u softball team since August of 2022 as well as an instructor at D-Bat in Bloomfield, Conn.

"I am excited to bring Katrina on as an assistant coach at Albertus," Bunosso said. "Her playing experience at SCSU, coupled with her experience coaching and teaching softball will be valuable to our program and student athletes. I am confident our team will be in a position to grow and achieve our goals with such a strong coach like Katrina joining us"
