WINTER HAVEN, Fla. - The Albertus Magnus College softball team lost two games on Thursday, falling to University of Northwestern (Minn.), 8-0 in six innings before dropping a 6-0 game to Swarthmore College.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Falcons went down in order in the first and the Eagles took the lead in the bottom of the inning after Mikayla Gee, walked, stole two bases and scored on a throwing error.
• Albertus starting pitcher Amelia Boulli (Torrington, Conn.) struck out two batters in the second inning and left two runners on base, keeping the game, 1-0.
• The Eagles opened up the scoring with three more ruuns in the third, including RBI singles by Lani Schoper and Jadyn Iverson, making it a 4-0 game.
• Northwestern added a run in the fourth and two in the fifth on a two-run homer from Kate Trump. The Eagles added one more run in the bottom of the sixth as the game ended via the eight-run rule.
