WINTER HAVEN, Fla. - The Albertus Magnus College softball team lost two games on Thursday, falling 7-4 to Ohio Wesleyan before dropping a 3-2 game to Carroll University (Wis.) in The Spring Games.

Isabelle Smith drove in two runs against Ohio Wesleyan and Gina Solow, Reilly Austin and Amelia Ovalles (Lawrence, Mass.) each had a pair of hits against Ohio Wesleyan.

Karla Carangelo (Cheshire, Conn.) had a two-run single against Carroll.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Ohio Wesleyan scored a run in each of the first three innings, including an RBI single by Natalie Russell in the top of the third.
• The Falcons got on the board with a run in the bottom of the third as Austin drove in Solow with a single witwh two outs in the inning.
• Smith tied the game for the Falcons in the next inning with a two-run single after Ovalles and Izzy Barreiro each hit singles of their own in the inning.
• Ohio Wesleyan too the lead back in the top of the fifth with a two-run single by Caity Journey and the Falcons responded with an RBI single by Karla Carangelo (Cheshire, Conn.), who drove home Austin, who opened the inning with a single of her own.
• Ohio Wesleyan got two more insurance runs in the top of the sixth with a pair of RBI groundouts.
• Albertus threatened to score in the bottom of the sixth, loading the bases with two outs, but the Falcons could not get a run across.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Kayla Holmes hit an RBI singls in the bottom of the second to to put Carroll on the board.
• In the top of the third, Carangelo had a two-run single in the top of the third, giving Albertus a 2-1 lead
• Grace O'Connor tied the game for Carroll with an RBI single in the bottom of the third. She then added an RBI groundout in the bottom of the fifth for the final tally of the game.
