HAMDEN, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College women's golf team won its second match play event of the season without losing a point in a 4-0 win over Western Connecticut State University (WCSU) on Wednesday at the New Haven Country Club.
Gabriella Dellacroce (Woodbridge, Conn.) defeated Savannah Kom, 6&4. Molly Martin (Buffalo, N.Y.) defeated Grace King, 6&5.
Kayla Clark (Avon, Conn.) defeated Stella Bandak, 8&7 and Tori Walsh (Marystown, Newfoundland) cruised past Norah Zuidema, 9&7.
Dellacroce opened up with a par and a birdie on the first two holes and won the first four holes on her way to the win. Martin also started in a dominant fashion, winning the first five holes of the match. She dropped just two holes in the match.
Clark was up seven holes after the front nine that included a par on the eighth hole.
Walsh won the first hole, tied the second, and won the final eight holes in her win. She also had a par on hole three.
The Falcons head to the Dudley Hill Invitational, hosted by Nichols College at Dudley Hill Golf Club in Dudley, Mass. on April 23.
