PAWTUCKET, R.I. - The Albertus Magnus College women's ice hockey team opened up its season in style with a 1-0 win over Johnson and Wales (JWU) on Saturday afternoon in a non-conference tilt.
Christmas Johnson (Winnipeg, Manitoba) stopped all 35 shots she faced and Elle Price (Greenwich, Conn.) scored her first career goal in her first game.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Johnson stopped 13 shots in the first period to keep the Wildcats off the board.
- At the 17:04 mark of the first period, Tori Walsh (Marystown, Newfoundland) and Kalyn Reynolds (Newington, Conn.) assisted on Price's first goal as her shot hit off of a JWU player and into the nest past goaltender Katelyn Cardoso to give the Falcons the only goal they needed.
- Johnson continued to excel in the next two periods, stopping 12 more shots in the second and 10 more in the third.
