HENNIKER N.H. - The Albertus Magnus College women's lacrosse team lost a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) matchup on the road against the Pilgrims of New England College, 25-2 on Saturday afternoon.
Sage Sonsini (Milford, Conn.) scored both goals for the Falcons.
Victoria McDermott (Northford, Conn.) got the start in goal for Albertus, making a career-high 21 saves.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Pilgrims took a commanding lead to open the game as they scored a dozen goals in the first quarter. Eight different players scored. Meadow Gilchrist, Carmela Goodwin, Riley Davis, and Alexis Hornsby each had two goals in the quarter.
- NEC netted four goals in the second quarter. Gilchrist scored the first two, and had an assist on each of the next two.
- Kendall Purtell opened up the second half with a goal to put the Pilgrims up 17-0.
- Sonsini put the Falcons on the board with a goal after taking a pass from Sarah Hoffman (Springfield, Va.) at the 2:10 mark of the third quarter. Sonsini later started the fourth quarter with a goal. Delaney Schlechtweg (Goshen, N.Y.) had the assist.
- The Pilgrims answered with six goals from six different players to close it out.
