Cortes Wins Three More Times In Dual Meet Against Westfield State; Wynn Earns 27 Points

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College men's and women's swimming team dropped a 187-54 dual meet to Westfield State University on Saturday afternoon in a home meet.

Mia Cortes picked up three wins on the day, taking home the 200 yard freestyle gold with a time of 2:14.28, winning by over six seconds. She won the 500 yard freestyle by over 25 seconds with a time of 6:00.66 time and won the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:10.33, over nine seconds better than her closest competitor.

It is the second straight meet Cortes has won three events. Cortes picked up 27 of the points for the Falcons.

On the men's side, Alexander Wynn picked up 27 points in three wins as the lone competitor in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:14.98, the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 6:22.53 and the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:14.14.

The Falcons will host Elms on Saturday, November 1st.
