NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College women's swimming team lost a 95-29 meet to Elms College on Saturday afternoon, while the men's swimming team lost, 33-22.
Mia Cortes won three races on the day for the women's team. She won the 100-yard breaststroke by over 11 seconds with a time of 1:16.69. She also won by over 28 seconds in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:41.40. In the 200-yard individual medley, she won with a time of 2:28.24, nearly six seconds ahead of second place.
Alyssa Defeo earned 11 points for the Falcons.
On the men's side, Alexander Wynn earned the team nine points with a time of 21:40.24 in winning the 1650-yard freestyle. He also had a time of 6:13.46 in the 500-yard freestyle for another nine points. He added four more in the 50-yard freestyle.
