NEW HAVEN, Conn. - JuJu Oliver (New Britain, Conn.) was named to the All-Conference First Team in singles and earned a spot on the All-Sportsmanship team, while the Albertus Magnus College women's tennis team won the Institutional Sportsmanship award as the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) announced its major awards on Tuesday.
It is the second time in her career that Oliver was named to the All-GNAC First Team, as she also was named to the All-GNAC team in 2021. Oliver - who was also named to the GNAC All-Tournament Team - wrapped up her senior season with five wins in singles play, all at the No. 1 spot.
Oliver won all five of her singles matches in straight sets. She earned wins over Sarah Lawrence, Western Connecticut State University, John Jay, Lehman and Regis. The win over Harmony Lopez of Regis helped secure the Falcons a spot in the GNAC Tournament, their first appearance since 2017.
It is also the third straight season the Falcons have won the Institutional Sportsmanship Award for the GNAC.
