Diondrea Silva-Brown joins Albertus as the first head cheerleading coach as the program begins its first season in Fall 2025. Most recently, Silva-Brown serves as the Head Cheer Coach at Wilbur Cross High School and at Achievement First Amistad High School.
In her roles at Wilbur Cross and Amistad, Silva-Brown developed and implemented year-round training schedules that prioritized stunting safety and performance readiness while cultivating a culture that fosters academic accountability and leadership among members of the team.
Silva-Brown also works for the City of New Haven Livable City Initiative as a neighborhood specialist and an anti-blight officer as well as serving as a behavioral specialist at Amistad High School.
Silva-Brown earned both her bachelor and associate of science degree in criminal justice from Monroe University. She is also pursuing a Master's of Science degree in forensic psychology at Monroe.
