The Albertus Magnus men's basketball team has been ranked No. 14 in the D3hoops.com Top-25 Poll to earn the program's best ranking in program history. The 14th national ranking puts the Falcons in the Top-25 for a seventh-straight week.
Last week, the Falcons were ranked #15 in the country, which was the highest ranking for the program prior to this week's release.
The Falcons are 23-2 on the year and finished the regular season 17-1 in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC). The Falcons will also be the No. 1 seed in the upcoming GNAC Tournament, set to tip-off on Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. in New Haven.
On Jan. 13, the Falcons broke into the poll for the first time this season as they were tagged as the No. 23 Division III men's basketball team in the Nation. The Falcons received votes the previous four weeks before getting into the top-25.
UW-Stevens Point remained in first place with an impressive tally of 24 first-place votes. The Pointers are 24-1 on the year. UW-Whitewater remained in second this week with one first-place vote and a 22-3 overall record. Washington University also remained in the top three with a 22-2 overall record.
The D3hoops.com Top-25 is voted on by a panel of 25 coaches, Sports Information Directors and media members from across the country, and is published weekly.
