The Albertus Magnus men's basketball team received one first-place vote and has been ranked No. 7 in the D3hoops.com Top-25 Poll. This is the second-straight week that the Falcons have received first-place votes nationally after receiving two first-place votes for the first time in program history last week.
This week also marks the 13th-straight week, including the preseason poll, in which the Falcons have earned a national ranking. The Falcons opened the season ranked eighth in the preseason poll, which, prior to the regular season, was their highest ranking ever in school history.
Randolph-Macon remained in first place in this week's poll with 14 first-place votes and a 23-2 overall record. UW-Whitewater earned 10 first-place votes to remain in second, while St. Norbert, with a 22-1 overall record, slid into third from fourth place.
With a 24-1 overall record, after finishing the regular season with a perfect 18-0 record in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play, the Falcons remained in the seventh position for the third-straight week.
The Falcons currently hold the longest active home court winning streak in NCAA men's basketball (all levels) with 54-straight home wins and will host Suffolk University on Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. in the Cosgrove Marcus Messer Athletic Center in the GNAC Tournament Quarterfinal round.
The D3hoops.com Top-25 is voted on by a panel of 25 coaches, Sports Information Directors and media members from across the country, and is published weekly.
