NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Ta'zhon Daniels (New Haven, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College men's basketball team was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week for his performance from December 29th to January 4th.
In three games over the week, Daniels averaged 23.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, two steals and two assists per game. It is the second time this season Daniels has earned the GNAC Player of the Week honor.
In a 100-82 win over UMass-Dartmouth on December 30th at the Trinity Holiday Classic, Daniels scored 38 points on 15-for-27 shooting, grabbing three rebounds with two assists and two steals.
Against No. 1 Trinity the following day, Daniels scored eight points with four assists and three rebounds.
In a game against No. 10 Montclair State on January 4th, Daniels scored 24 points with four rebounds and four steals.
This season, Daniels leads the GNAC in scoring at 20.8 points per game and is second in field goals made with 84.
