Men's Ice Hockey Shutout By No. 9 Trinity

HARTFORD, Conn. – The Albertus Magnus College men's ice hockey team lost a 4-0 non-conference road game to No. 9 Trinity College (Conn.) on Saturday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The Bantams got on the board five minutes into the game on a one-timer from Oliver Gabrielson off a pass from Richard Boysen to make it a 1-0 game.
  • Albertus outshot the Bantams on net in the first period, 12-11, but Trinity goaltender Devon Bobak did not let a shot through. Albertus starting goaltender, Matt Lenz (Grapevine, TX) finished with 10 saves in the period for the Falcons.
  • Trinity scored twice in the first 1:44 of the second period during a five-minute power-play. The first came on a goal by Ryan Panico as he put home a shot off a rebound. The second goal came from Ty Broad who took a shot from the left faceoff circle in Trinity's offensive zone.
  • Trinity added one more power play goal in the third by Alexander Mozian.
  • Chace Hale (Pittsburgh, Pa.) came in at goaltender in the third period and stopped 15 shots.
