NEW HAVEN, Conn. - David Lucero (East Haven, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College men's soccer team was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Goalkeeper of the Week for his performance for this week. Teammate, Aiden Coelho (Naugatuck, Conn.) was named to the GNAC Weekly Honor Roll.

Lucero turned in a strong week between the posts for the Falcons, registering eight saves in two games. The senior made six stops in a 3-1 setback at defending national champion and no. 1 nationally-ranked Amherst before bouncing back with a two-save shutout performance in a 1-0 victory over Norwich in the conference opener. In the two matches, he posted a 1.50 goals-against average and a .727 save percentage.

Coelho tallied an assist against Amherst before scoring the game-winning goal on a corner kick in a 1-0 conference victory over Norwich. In the two games, he recorded one goal, one assist, and three points.

The Falcons host the Hartford Hawks at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 16.
