WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - In the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) quarterfinals, the Albertus Magnus College men's soccer team's season came to an end as they fell, 1-0, to the top-seeded Blue Jays of the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) on Saturday afternoon.
Aiden Coelho (Naugatuck, Conn.) had three shots on net for the Falcons, while Lorenzo Lauria (New Haven, Conn.) and Malik Ouro-Adei (West Haven, Conn.) each registered two shots on net. David Lucero (East Haven, Conn.) stopped three shots between the pipes.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons had two scoring opporunities from Lauria and Ouro-Adei in the first 15 minutes of play, but both shots were denied by USJ goalkeeper Will Slayton.
- The Blue Jays put away the lone goal of the game in the 18th minute, as Nicholas Simpson scored off a penalty kick.
- Coelho and Ouro-Adei each had scoring opportunities in the minutes following the Blue Jay's goal, but those chances were again denied by Slayton.
- The Falcons had three more scoring opportunities on net in the second half, but the game ended 1-0.
