New Haven, Conn. – For the fourth consecutive season under Head Coach Nick Wajnowski, the Albertus Magnus College women's soccer team has earned the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Academic Award for the 2015-16 academic year. To qualify, a team must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) to be eligible.

During the year, the Falcons posted a 3.14 team GPA and placed a school-best 11 student-athletes on the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) All-Academic Team thanks to their stellar work in the classroom. Albertus Magnus also saw 10 student-athletes receive Dean's List recognition throughout the academic year.

A total of 892 soccer teams (314 men, 578 women) from throughout the United States have earned the NSCAA Team Academic Award for exemplary performance in the classroom as a team during the 2015-16 academic year. Among these programs are 222 schools receiving honors for both their men and women's teams.

Albertus Magnus returns to action on Saturday, October 8, with a home conference showdown against Rivier that is slated to begin at 1:00 pm. Last autumn, the Falcons netted a 2-0 triumph versus the Raiders in New Hampshire.
