BRONXVILLE, N.Y. - The Albertus Magnus College men's basketball team won its fifth straight game, defeating Sarah Lawrence College, 68-56 in a non-conference game on Tuesday evening.

Isaiah Earl (Hamden, Conn.) had a double-double with a game-high 21 points and 12 rebounds. Ray Ford, Jr. (Jersey City, N.J.) scored 20 points, including four three-pointers with seven rebounds and four assists. Jayquan Kirkland (Stratford, Conn.) scored 13 points with five rebounds.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Kirkland opened the game with a four-point play as he buried a three while being fouled. The threes kept raining as Ford, Jr. hit two threes and Kirkland and Earl each hit one as Albertus took a 16-14 lead with 14:07 in the first half.
• With the Falcons trailing 26-24, Earl hit two free throws to tie the game. A transition dunk by Avery Hinnant (Naugatuck, Conn.) and a tip-in from Earl gave Albertus a 30-26 lead. Shortly after, Ford, Jr. hit a three and later on followed it up with a steal and a dunk to make it a 38-26 Albertus lead with three minutes left. Albertus would take a 40-28 lead into halftime. Albertus did not allow a made field goal for the final 6:30 of the first half.
• Albertus opened up the second half on an 11-2 run behind six points from Kirkland, and a three from Earl and  basket by DJ Victory as the Falcons led 51-31 at the 15:31 mark. Sarah Lawrence trimmed the lead to 55-43, but a three from Ford, Jr. put the Falcons back up 58-43 with 8:34 left.
• Sarah Lawrence got the game to single digits after a three from Dean Furlong, but a three from Nate Charlot ended any chance of a comeback as the Falcons closed out the win.
