JERSEY CITY, N.J. - The Albertus Magnus College women's basketball team lost a 79-52 game to New Jersey City University on Saturday afternoon in a non-conference game.
Adriana DeBernardo (Stratford, Conn.) had a double-double with a team-high 16 points and 11 rebounds. Isabella Fiorillo (West Haven, Conn.) scored 11 points and Dejahlee Dogans (Bloomfield, Conn.) scored 10 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons jumped out to an 8-4 lead at the 7:09 mark of the first quarter, which included three-pointers from Fiorillo and Dogans. After NJCU took a 10-8, lead the Falcons rattled off the next eight points, taking a 16-10 as four different Falcons scored during the run. Over the final 2:52 of the quarter, NJCU went on a 14-2 run to take a 24-18 lead heading into the second. Bailey Castle scored four points for NJCU in the run and Isabel Gidado and Meghan Gentile each hit a three.
- Gabriella Gaetano (East Haven, Conn.) hit an early three-pointer for the Falcons in the first minute of the second quarter, cutting the NJCU lead to 26-21. She added a second one later in the quarter, but NJCU took a 38-29 lead into the half. Autumn John scored seven points in the quarter to pace NJCU.
- After DeBernardo scored the first basket of the third quarter, NJCU scored the next 17 points to take a 55-31 lead behind two threes from Gentile and one from John. Fiorillo added a three in the quarter, but the Gothic Knights took a 66-41 lead into the fourth.
- NJCU extended its lead to as much as 30 points in the fourth as the Falcons did not get any closer than 25 points the rest of the way.
