Randy Raine enters his first season as an assistant coach of the Albertus Magnus women's basketball team as he has coaches all ages from youth to adult over the past 25 years.
Raine began coaching at the high school level at Kolbe Cathedral High School in Bridgeport, Conn. and also worked with current Albertus Magnus women's basketball coach Steve Schuler at Lauralton Hall in a scouting capacity.
He was one of the founding coaches for the Connecticut Future Stars AAU program, which is now known as the CBC.
Raine grew up in Dubuque, Iowa and played under Coach Jim Brousard at Dubuque Hempstead High School.
He currently resides in Shelton, Conn. with his wife Judy-Beth. He has two children, as his son Keith is an assistant men’s basketball coach at Goshen College in Goshen, Ind. and his daughter Miranda is a junior at Assumption College in Worchester, Mass.
