Steve Wydra has been coaching at Albertus Magnus for over six years.  He enters 2015 as the Associate Head Coach of the Falcons' women's volleyball program.

Previously the head men's and women's volleyball coach at Albertus, Wydra stepped down into an assistant coaching role beginning the 2010-11 school year.  He was named Interim Head Coach of the program in 2014 and was named Associate Head Coach in January of 2015.

Wydra has been an active supporter of the growth of the sport of volleyball throughout Connecticut.  Wydra's coaching experience began at Hamden High School where he was the assistant coach from 1993-97 and later in the same capacity at Lauralton Hall High School (Milford, Conn.) from 2001-02. 

After his stint at Lauralton Hall, he became the head coach at Foran High School (Milford, Conn.) and later coached the boys' volleyball team at Masuk High School (Monroe, Conn.).

Wydra played volleyball for three years (1982-84) as a setter for the Sacred Heart Pioneers in Fairfield, Conn. He majored in criminal justice at SHU.
