Pete Hamasian           Jamal Howard

New Haven, CT - Albertus Magnus College Men's Soccer Head Coach Jim Bernardo has announced his team captains for the 2010 season.  Senior Defender Pete Hamasian (Hamden, CT) was named captain for the second straight season along with Junior All GNAC Forward Jamal Howard (West Haven, CT).  Hamasian is a 2 year starter at Right Back for the Falcons while Howard is 2 year starter at Forward.  They will provide leadership and stability to a very talented Falcons squad both on and off the field as they begin their quest to capture the GNAC Title this fall. 

The Falcons finished 10-7-1 last season while just missing out on an ECAC postseason berth.  Albertus ended the season in heartbreaking fashion with a 3-2 loss late in double overtime of the 1st round of the GNAC playoffs against host Norwich University.  The young Falcons lose just one starter to graduation in Goalkeeper Gerald O'Connor (Hamden, CT) and look to challenge for the GNAC Title this upcoming season.  Albertus opens the 2010 campaign on September 1st as they host in state rival Western CT State University at 4:00 pm on Celentano Field.
