Lindsley Barrett (Shelton, Conn.) and Donato Piroscafo (Naugatuck, Conn.) have been tagged with Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly honors as announced Monday night by the league office.

Barrett, who has 16 points for the Falcons on eight goals in 2011, was named the GNAC Rookie of the Week for his efforts in last week's competition. Barrett scored two goals, including one in each of the Falcons' matches. He scored the game winner at Mount Ida in the Falcons' 2-0 victory and scored his seventh goal of the season in Albertus' 2-0 win over Emerson on Saturday.

Barrett has made a huge impact on the Falcons in just his first season as Albertus is 11-2 on the year. The Falcons are also 8-0 in league play, good for first place in the conference standings.

Because of his stellar play, the freshman was also named to the weekly honor roll for Player of the Week.

Piroscafo earns the GNAC Goalkeeper of the Week honor for the second time this season. The sophomore recorded back-to-back shutouts with identical 2-0 wins over both Mount Ida and Emerson during last week's play. Piroscafo recorded 10 saves on the week and now has made 53 stops in net for the Falcons. He currently posts a .841 save percentage as well as a goal against average of 0.84. He has four shutouts to his credit as he has led the Falcons to seven team shutouts on the year.

Albertus will return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 12 as the Falcons host the United States Coast Guard Academy in a non-conference match-up at Celentano Field. Game time is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
