Donato Piroscafo (Naugatuck, Conn.) and Jamal Howard (West Haven, Conn.) have been tagged with Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly honors as announced Monday night by the league office.

This is the second-straight Goalkeeper of the Week honor for Piroscafo as it is his third of the season. The sophomore recorded his fifth shutout of the year in the Falcons' 3-0 win over Emmanuel on Saturday, Oct. 15.

He posted a 2-0 week for the Falcons as they improved to 13-2 on the year and 9-0 in league play. Piroscafo registered 10 saves on the week and allowed just two goals to Coast Guard in the Falcons' 3-2 overtime victory as he made a key save in the second half to force the game into overtime.

Howard scored two goals, including the game winner in overtime, in the Falcons' 3-2 win over Coast Guard on Oct. 10. With his first goal of the game in the 55th minute of play, Howard became the Albertus Magnus all-time leading goal scorer in program history. He later added to his tally with the game winner.

In the Falcons' 3-0 shutout of Emmanuel, Howard scored two goals to give him 105 career points, which ties the AMC record in all-time points with Jay Hunter (1992-95). He now has 46 career goals, including a team-leading 16 this season.

This was his second GNAC Player of the Week honor in 2011.
